A great educational tool to facilitate learning while encouraging fun and creativity is learning through song. In fact, most educators that teach the younger students in elementary school have made songs and singing and important part of their growing list of necessary school supplies. Although many talented teachers write their own songs as part of their teacher supplies, many don't have the ability or the time to create a fun song that works with their current school supplies. Fortunately, these individuals don't have to look far to add some fun to the classroom.

There are a growing number of web sites that offer free stuff for teachers, including free songs. Some limit the number of songs, but even two to three songs can greatly enhance your current list of school supplies. Many of these sites also allow teachers to download and print the song lyrics or search for theme-related or seasonal songs just to add a touch of fun for the classroom. Careful searching can enable the teacher to come up with the perfect song that greatly complements current teacher supplies. So read those lyrics closely and you may end up with a song that's perfect for your group of young students. 

If you're still not comfortable looking on the Internet for free stuff for teachers materials, get together with teachers and see if you can't create some awesome lyrics as a team. Remember that it's not necessary to come up with an original tune. Many songs in your list of school supplies should use tunes that are currently public domain, such as the tune to "Mary had a little lamb" or some other popular song. That way students will find it easy to carry the tune and may even have your unique lyrics stuck in their head for an entire day.
