Technology in the
Classroom
can open many minds using interesting computer lesson
plans.
Math and Science Vital
Components to Technology in the Classroom Education
When the U.S. experienced its high
technology boom several years ago, the industry was hard
pressed to find U.S. students that had the right skills.
At the time, bringing technology in the classroom was
just getting started. Instead of immediately focusing on
technology in the classroom and advanced computer lesson
plans, it seems that another area of education could be
improved to prepare students for the information
technology world – math and science education.
Studies have shown that students with a strong
background in math and science who learn technology
skills should have very little trouble finding high-tech
jobs. Obviously having technology in the classroom,
combined with strong computer lesson plans are
important, but educators should not overlook the
importance of traditional education either, such as
developing a strong foundation of math and science.
Although the U.S. has now put forth an abundance of
properly trained students in information technology,
it’s important that educators continue to bring
technology to the classrooms and that they keep on top
of industry trends for their
computer lesson
plans. In addition, giving students a strong
foundation in math and science will give them the skills
needed to excel in the high-tech industry later in life.
