Team up with Business
to Educate Students with Technology in the Classroom
In order to advance technology in the
classroom and encourage the development of IT skills
early on, many high schools have started teaming up with
local businesses. The goal is to introduce high school
students to the profession, encourage them to study
computer science in college and familiarize teachers
with opportunities and technologies so that they teach
more computer courses and develop even better computer
lesson plans. Not only are these partnerships
encouraging technology in the classroom, they are also
encouraging students to begin thinking about their
future.
Another way businesses are encouraging technology in the
classrooms is by offering scholarships for continued
technical education. In addition to offering summer
classes to students with hands on education, teachers
can also join in the training and incorporate what they
learn into their computer lesson plans at the start of
the next school year.
In fact, high school students in the states aren’t just
learning from basic computer lesson plans, they are
preparing for their future.
Technology in the classroom
now means that classes cover A++ certification,
Microsoft networking essentials and the Microsoft
operating system. Some high schools encourage students
that have completed their Microsoft certifications to
find work in the PC support departments of computer
stores or at other businesses setting up PCs,
troubleshooting and performing networking functions.
